Just enable the developers console, and use console command g_set_time. g_set_time doesn't force night time it moves the clock forwards. Great if you have fatigue off and no job. Not so good if you're on a job and just want it to be night time. Set "day_in_year: 358" in "/def/env_data.sii" and you'll have the shortest day in year.
According to the FMCSA service regulations, you have to take a minimum 10 hour break after 14 hours on duty. During your 14 hours on duty, you can not drive more than 11 hours. There's a lot that's not simulated too, such as a mandatory 30 minute break after driving 8 hours, and having to be off duty for 34 hours after driving 60 hours over 7
