The trailer brake is activated inependently (without cab brake) only when jackknifing on a slippery road is imminent. If enough straight road exists ahead of rig, activating the trailer brake independently may save the rig from jackknifing. I do it a lot when i come to a service station with multiple pass throughs to turn it yellow. so with them i pull up to the parking area unhook drive around to get everything yellow then go back and hook up again and off to do my delivery. usualy those places r too tight to get the trailor around and u have to drive the Hit F7 and do a service call. You'll respawn at the nearest repair shop with the trailer attached again. The cost for the tow to the shop will be better than the penalty of failing your delivery. ^ this. usually you then can deliver your cargo after being towed to the service station.
