The trailer brake is activated inependently (without cab brake) only when jackknifing on a slippery road is imminent. If enough straight road exists ahead of rig, activating the trailer brake independently may save the rig from jackknifing. AFAIK, trailer braking is not important in the game because the game does not simuilate slippery roads.

If I could remember off the top of my head, then I would post the line for you. If you search for "How to unlock doubles parking", then you should find out. EDIT: Here is a quote from an ATS thread, though it is the exact same concept. Just replace American Truck Simulator with Euro Truck Simulator 2.

You have to set Detour slider all the way to the left to disable it completely. #2. Oz Gaming Nov 30, 2022 @ 10:00pm. "This is a great game with an otherwise completely awful feature that isn't even realistic". Yes, it is realistic. #3. numbat Nov 30, 2022 @ 10:27pm. Originally posted by Oz Gaming:

It only happened on newer maps, while old maps tend to be pretty easy to park. Since ATS is newer, the basegame ETS2 is easier than ATS.

I usual drive the other way in, and just before the spot, I deattach the trailer, drive 1m forward and sleep. [ external image ] Mohegan13. Global moderator. Posts: 19266.
Trailer drop-off redesign. Today we would like to talk about a different approach to dropping off trailers at the destination for delivery that we are about to introduce with American Truck Simulator. We wanted more variety, and implement it in a way similar to what would be happening in a real-world situation.
You can lift axles, and it does reduce the truck turning radius, and/or that of the trailer (I think, haven't tested), but as far as I know, it has no in-game effect on weight capacity or tire wear. In addition, I don't think number of truck axles affects the total weight you can carry in game. #7.
u can unhook a trailor if u want to explore an area then go back for it. I do it a lot when i come to a service station with multiple pass throughs to turn it yellow. so with them i pull up to the parking area unhook drive around to get everything yellow then go back and hook up again and off to do my delivery. usualy those places r too tight to get the trailor around and u have to drive the
Hit F7 and do a service call. You'll respawn at the nearest repair shop with the trailer attached again. The cost for the tow to the shop will be better than the penalty of failing your delivery. ^ this. usually you then can deliver your cargo after being towed to the service station.
